Controlling Operation: Removals
Fraction of Day Workable: 10/10
Hi 85 Lo 60
Weather AM Sunny PM Sunny

Reith-Reilly had a concrete crew pouring the sidewalk on the south side of Bartlett between Michigan and Main St. Crews completed work for the day around 1 pm. Reith Riley also dug around the burkhart sign foundation and determined that the original storm sewer design will work.

Woodruff was laying pipe at the southeast corner of Bartlett and Michigan and found a water main encased in concrete that was obstructing the path of the storm pipe. Woodruff removed the concrete encasement and redirected the water main so it does not obstruct the path of the storm pipe. This work required shutting off the water for the adjacent building, and was therefore done after 5 pm. After reconnecting the water main, the storm pipe was run directly beneath it. All work was completed by 7:30 pm.

Indiana Earth  continued removals on Marian and Michigan. At approximately 12:30, Indiana Earth hit and damages a Metro-Net fiber optic line on Michigan St. north of Marian. It is believed that no active wires were damaged, but a new conduit is needed. A strategy was developed for Pemberton Davis to run a new 3" conduit across Michigan and install a new handhole on the east side of Michigan. Metro-Net plans to announce a 2-day emergency outage next week to allow new fiber lines to be run through the new conduit. Indiana Earth also continued grading the area for the Bartlett roundabout.

Pemberton Davis installed PVC pipe across the new Bartlett on the east side of Michigan, and also helped Badger dig the trench for the fiber optic line to be lowered into.

Requested snow fencing for pedestrian crosswalks through construction zones were provided for the crosswalk across Marian St, but is still needed for the crosswalks in the Bartlett section. Additionally, signage requested of State Barricade has yet to be provided.

State Barricade shut down Main Street between South Street and Bronson Street. They also closed Bronson and South Street going west of Main street to Lafayette Street.
