Indiana Earth removed curb and sidewalk on Main St between Marion and Madison.This work is in conjunction with the watermain work. They also placed compacted agg on Bartlett between Michigan and Main St. They also placed compacted agg on the alley approach south of Bartlett between Michigan and Saint Joe.
Reith Riley had a crew placing forms on Bartlett between Main and Michigan. They also formed the ally to the north on Bartlett between Michigan and saint Joe.
Ferguson Started working on the AT@T vault on the southwest quad of Michigan and Bartlett.
Indiana received the permit to demo the Mar Main Pharmacy.
Jessie started working on this project today.

Controlling Operation: Fine grading

Reith Riley worked on fine grading Bartlett St between Saint Joe and Michigan St. They also had a crew pouring concrete on the eastbound lane between Saint Joe and Michigan. They also poured the driveway approach to the work trailers on the south side of Bartlett.
Indiana Earth worked on cutting grade on the west side of Bartlett between Michigan and Main St. In the grade an area clear to the west had to be undercut due to debris was uncovered.
JPR was on site setting grade stakes. Roger, Toy and Chris Chockley were onsite to look at the grade to the north, next to the parking lot. I am concerned the grade behind the sidewalk will be very steep when the work is done. After looking at this we will have to revisit this once the side walk grade is cut. Roger wants this area to be traverseble with a riding lawn mower.
Pemberton Davis lowered the electric line to the parking lot between Main and Michigan on Bartlett. They also placed conduit for future work.
The Gas at the Mar Main Pharmacy was terminated in the alley at around 12:30. I then notified Reith Riley and Indiana Earth. Indiana Earth was going to work on getting its permit to allow it to demo the Pharmacy.
The AT@T line in the alley on Bartlett east of Michigan was finally switched over today at 3:00 Pm. ferguson then removed the pole on the south side and rolled up the cable.They still have to remove the pole to the north. Ferguson also finished its work on the vault on the north west quad of the new round about.

Reith Riley plans on finishing up Division A Phase 1.
They are going to Demo Mar Main Pharmacy. They will work on sidewalk and approaches on
Bartlett east of Michigan. West of Michigan on Bartlett they will work on
concrete paving and subgrade work. They also plan on doing water main work on
Main St. just south of Marion
Utility Relocation Issues:
AEP:
The light North of Bartlett on the east side will be taken down next
week. 25 lights will be taken down late
next week at the intersection on Michigan and Marion and Main and Marion
Tony from Reith Riley will be getting with Fran from AEP to go over the
down town area on light removals.
Tony
Macia with AEP has not started the relocation work on Chippewa yet. He said
they should be next week and be finished by the last week of May.
Robert Henry:
Robert hennery is done by the Library and are continuing South. They
plan on closing Washington on the 16th or 17th. They are
still ahead of schedule.
NIPSCO/InfraSource
Lassalle Ave work is completed. They are having trouble going down the
Columbia Court Area due to a lot of abandoned foundations. They are going to
have to open cut across main at Colfax due to all the vaults in the
intersection. This work will have to be completed by the 16th. They
will be doing 2 lanes at a time. All work will be completed on Lafayette St. by
the 16th of May all travel lanes and parking lanes will be free from
work and open to traffic. Toy will be checking on the work that HRP is doing on
Lafayette to help to get the lanes opened up for the 17th closure of
Marion and Bartlett.
Comcast:
No one showed up for Comcast. I will call and get an update.
US Signal:
No one showed up. I called Charlie and they still don’t have their
permits.
AT&T:
No one for AT@T came
to the meeting.
Bartlett
Street Ally East of Michigan the pole is still in the way and was supposed to
be removed Monday. The vault at Michigan and Bartlett will begin on Monday. The
line at Marion and Michigan is scheduled to be moved in the next 2 weeks.
Water Dept. was a no show
INDOT:
was a no show
Transpo was wanting an
intersection schedule. I will get that to them. They also wanted to make sure
the drive construction on South St. will not affect pickups. Transpo has a bus
that parks on South St. to do pickups, which could be affected during
construction.
Metronet
needs notified to do the work at the South East corner Bartlett and Michigan to
the handhole.
Stakeholder; I
notified Larry Lies of Memorial that the cross walk at Bartlett and Michigan
may be lost due to the work that AT@T is doing at the intersection may affect
the wiring to the traffic signal. Toy is going to contact the Chase Tower when
work starts up in the area to have the barrier wall moved and to have the
window installation stopped when Reith Riley is working in the area. A sleeve
will need to be placed for electric for signs placed later by the hospital.

Woodruff was not on site today.
Reith Riley worked on pouring the 9 in concrete pavement on Bartlett St. They paved the East bound lane from the cross walk to the end of the run going east. They also had a crew placing curb on Bartlett St.on the south and North side from Saint Joe st to the end of the concrete pavement to the west. Reith Riley had a third crew fine grading the stone out in front of the curb Machine.
Weaver Booz was on site to test the subgrade and the concrete pavement. They made beams for open to traffic.
Indiana Earth worked on cutting the on Bartlett St. between Michigan and Main. They also worked on placing subbase on the Bartlett street dives and alleys. They where unable to complete this work due to the AT@T pole that is still not removed. Reith Riley sent me an Email notifying me of the delay and loss of production due to this pole not being removed when it was suppose to be.
Pemberton Davis removed the Traffic signal pole on the North West corner of Michigan and Bartlett. The wiring to the Pole on the South West corner runs through the foundation. This means if the foundation is removed the cross walk will no longer work.
A meeting was held to discuss the Mar Main demolition which is not taking place as scheduled due to the utilities are not being disconnected. The demolition was scheduled for today, but NIPSCO still has to disconnect the line at the alley, if things go well that will happen tomorrow. Indiana Earth will then have to apply for a permit from the building dept. which they will have to also do for the electric, which they have not done yet. If the demolition and temporary road are not completed by the 17th. The intersection will still be closed. alternate scenarios were discussed to maintain emergency vehicle access to the Riverside neighborhood.
Also discussed was the deliveries to the McDonald's, mike Guzik will have Ben get with me and talk with the Manager of McDonald's.
Mike Guzik is also going to look into the type of material used to seal the concrete D1 joints.

Indiana Earth was not on site today due to the heavy rain.
Reith Riley worked on setting forms in order to pour concrete main line on Bartlett Street between Michigan and Saint Joe.
Pemberton Davis placed the office sign in front on Michigan Street. The boring machine was broke down and they did no other work on site today.
Had a 7:30 meeting with Denis Bunch, Dave Ferguson, Mike Mazigian, Toy Villa, Corbett Kerr, Roger Norwot, Chris Chockley, Josh Estes and My self. This meeting is in regards to the AT&T vault located at the north west corner of the current Bartlett and Michigan intersection. It was decided to move the vault to behind the curb line and get it out of the new round about. The Storm sewer will be moved back and redesigned by Chris of JPR. He will also generate the change order. Once the plans are drawn up later today. They will be sent to Reith Riley. R&R will then put a price on the new storm sewer structures and forward that on to AT&T by Friday. Denis Bunch will then Generate a letter and send it to the City stating he will pay for the cost of installing the new structures and for the design of the new structures.
Ferguson anticipates it will take 10 days to do the work of moving the vault once they get started. They anticipate starting Monday 5-9-16
Next I met with Tony Kasar and Tony Yado of McDonald's we discussed the deliver shipment to MacDonald and access to the business.
Meet then with the city to review action items. We reviewed various utility issues and right of way issues. A mager isssue arose over the Mar Main Pharmacy. The gas meter has been removed but the line has not been terminated at the ally. with out the gas being terminated the Indiana Earth can not get a permit to demo the pharmacy. After making several phone calls Nipsco is pushing to get the gas terminated on Friday. I will set up a meeting with Reith Riley, the City and Lawson Fisher to review options to the problem.
I need to get the information to Laura to get the website updated.

Indiana Earth placed subbase on Bartlett Street between Saint Joe and Michigan Street. They started by bringing in 2 loads of gravel 53's. They then switched to slag 53's after requesting additional pay they were denied.
Woodruff placed structures on Bartlett between Michigan and Main. They then moved the firehydrant at the corner of Bartlett and Saint Joe. They then moved to the intersection of Main and Marion and worked on locating a waterline that will need to be relocated.
Pemberton Davis worked on the intersection of Michigan and Indiana. They set a hand hole and worked on connecting conduit.
JPR was on site and laid curb lines on the east and west side of Michigan.
The electric line that Woodruff hit Friday in the old Memorial parking lot west of Michigan will need to be lowered. I called Denis bunch again about the pole in the ally between Saint Joe and Michigan the splicing was suppose to be done and the pole removed, This has not happened yet. Reith Riley has kept working around this pole and will soon be to a point where they will have to work in a different area.
The Gas was disconnected to the Mar Main Pharmacy today.

Controlling Operation: Structure Placement

Woodruff poured inverts in structures on Bartlett between Michigan and Saint Joe. They also placed pipe and structures on Bartlett Street between Michigan and Main Street.
Indiana Earth placed topsoil behind the side walk and ADA ramps on Michigan St. between Bartlett and Angela. They then went down to Chippewa and started removals.
Reith Riley placed asphalt around the ADA ramps on Michigan between Bartlett and Angela. The ADA ramps can now be opened to the public.
Pemberton Davis worked on pushing conduit and connecting the conduit to the hand holes and cabinet foundations at Michigan and Indiana.
Dale Clink started working on the Division B project.
Dale and I went to the Chase tower and measured the basement to the East to determine if the basement projects out under the side walk of Michigan. The basement is 11 feet under the sidewalk it is 126 feet long and 12 feet tall.
Had a meeting with Chris Chockley of JPR, Ben Hudson of L@F and Patrick Wooden of ASI, Patrick Kerr, Roger Nowrat and Toy Villa. This meeting is in regards to RFI #4 permeable blocks. After reviewing the diffrent typical sections on the diffrent plans and the special provisions. ASI will respond to the RFI. by instructing the contractor to build the typical section as shown per plan.
